As a Tech Lead Backend Engineer, you will drive backend initiatives, set architectural direction, and contribute to building a high-performing engineering culture. In this hands-on leadership role, you’ll balance deep technical execution with strategic planning and mentorship.
You’ll collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure backend systems align with business goals—while fostering a culture of quality, ownership, and continuous improvement.

Technical Leadership
- 8+ years of backend development experience, with significant time spent designing systems and leading engineering efforts.
- Proven experience owning architecture and making high-impact technical decisions.
- Deep knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, and microservice-based architectures.
- Experience working with event-based systems and cloud-native/serverless environments.
- Strong focus on performance, security, scalability, and operational excellence.
People & Process
- Experience mentoring engineers and helping them grow professionally.
- Strong collaboration skills — you're comfortable navigating trade-offs and building consensus across teams.
- You’ve led technical projects or squads, and are able to balance hands-on work with coordination responsibilities.
- Clear and concise communicator, both verbally and in writing.

- Passion for craftsmanship and building robust, elegant systems.
- Champion of modern engineering practices: CI/CD, testing, observability, and continuous delivery.
- Pragmatic and strategic: you focus on long-term value without over-engineering.
