Deine Aufgaben

Als Strategy Intern bei Mercanis arbeitest du direkt mit unserem Chief of Staff und dem Management-Team zusammen und erhältst einen 360°-Einblick in den Alltag eines schnell wachsenden SaaS-Unternehmens. Du unterstützt strategische Projekte, operative Initiativen und unternehmensweite Prozesse, die das Wachstum von Mercanis vorantreiben. Dieses Praktikum bietet dir eine einzigartige Gelegenheit, von erfahrenen Gründern zu lernen, früh Verantwortung zu übernehmen und einen echten Beitrag zu unserer Unternehmensentwicklung zu leisten.

Dein Aufgabenbereich

Strategic Orchestrator: Arbeite eng mit unserem Chief of Staff und dem C-Level zusammen, um wichtige Initiativen voranzutreiben, Leadership-Meetings vorzubereiten und eine reibungslose Umsetzung über alle Projekte hinweg sicherzustellen.
Innovation Steward: Übernimm Verantwortung für wirkungsvolle Projekte, von der Ideenfindung über die Validierung bis hin zur Umsetzung, und trage so direkt zum Wachstum des Unternehmens bei.
Operational Backbone: Unterstütze das Tagesgeschäft, optimiere interne Prozesse und stelle sicher, dass Geschäftsabläufe effizient und termingerecht erfolgen.
Cross-Functional Partner: Sammle Erfahrungen in der Zusammenarbeit mit verschiedenen Teams, im Treffen von wichtigen Entscheidungen und in den operativen Abläufen eines schnell wachsenden B2B-SaaS-Start-ups.
Market Maven: Führe gezielte Recherchen zu Märkten, Wettbewerbern und neuen Trends durch, um strategische Prioritäten zu unterstützen.

Dein Profil

Du studierst aktuell oder hast bereits einen Bachelor- oder Masterabschluss an einer führenden Universität in Business, Economics, Finance oder einem verwandten Bereich erworben.
Du hast Erfahrung im Investment Banking, in der Unternehmensberatung oder in ähnlich anspruchsvollen Umfeldern.
Du bringst sehr starke analytische Fähigkeiten und Financial-Modeling-Skills mit, insbesondere in Excel und PowerPoint.
Du hast eine ausgeprägte Affinität zu AI und digitaler Innovation, idealerweise mit ersten Berührungspunkten zu datengetriebenen Geschäftsmodellen oder SaaS.
Du verstehst und analysierst komplexe Sachverhalte schnell, entwickelst pragmatische Lösungen und setzt diese präzise und eigenverantwortlich um.
Du fühlst dich in dynamischen, unklaren Situationen wohl und gehst proaktiv Herausforderungen an.
Du besitzt starke Kommunikations- und zwischenmenschliche Fähigkeiten, die es dir ermöglichen, effektiv mit Senior Stakeholdern zusammenzuarbeiten.
Du sprichst fließend Englisch und Deutsch — das ist ein Muss.

Your mission at Mercanis

As a Strategy Intern at Mercanis, you will work directly with our Chief of Staff and management team, gaining a 360° view of how a fast-growing SaaS company operates. You will contribute to strategic projects, operational initiatives, and company-wide processes that drive Mercanis’ growth. This internship is a unique opportunity to learn from experienced founders, take ownership early, and make a tangible impact on our business trajectory.

Your Responsibilities on this role

Strategic Orchestrator: Work closely with our Chief of Staff and C-Level to drive key initiatives, prepare leadership meetings, and ensure smooth execution across projects.
Innovation Steward: Take ownership of impactful projects — from idea generation to validation and implementation — contributing directly to company growth.
Operational Backbone: Support daily operations, optimize internal processes, and ensure that business activities run efficiently and on schedule.
Cross-Functional Partner: Gain exposure to collaboration across teams, high-stakes decision-making, and the operational dynamics of a fast-growing B2B SaaS Start-up.
Market Maven: Conduct targeted research on markets, competitors, and emerging trends to inform strategic priorities.

Role requirements

You are currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree at a leading university in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
You have experience in investment banking, management consulting, or similarly demanding environments.
You bring very strong analytical and financial modeling skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint.
You have a keen affinity for AI and digital innovation, ideally with some exposure to data-driven business models or SaaS.
You are quick to understand and analyse complex circumstances, develop practical solutions, and execute with precision and ownership.
You thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and take initiative to solve problems proactively.
You have strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to work effectively with senior stakeholders.
You are fluent in both English and German — this is a must.
